Are you a Parent to a Child with

Down Syndrome?

Do you worry that your child struggles intellectually?

Are you frustrated with the lack of progress that you see in your child's mental development?

Have you ever wondered if there was something more that you can do for your child?

Something that could help your child learn faster, retain memories longer, and show off how smart he or she really is?

When I received a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis for my daughter, I was overwhelmed. I didn't know much about Down syndrome and certainly didn't know how best to support my daughter.

Having an extra copy of chromosome 21 wreaks havoc on the body. The extra chromosome contains hundreds of extra genes that tell your child's body to make extra proteins which is harmful to those with Down syndrome.

Did you know that nearly ALL people with Down syndrome develop Alzheimer's disease by age 40?

This is true because one of the genes tripled in Down syndrome is amyloid precursor protein. While typical people have s copies, people with Down syndrome have 3.

This gene tells the body to make a substance called beta-amyloid plaque that is then deposited in the brain of those with Down syndrome contributing to early onset Alzheimer's disease.

And that's just one of over 200-300 genes that can contribute to the delayed mental development of children with Down syndrome!

While there's no form of medicine that can "cure" Down syndrome or turn off the extra chromosome, there's a lot that naturopathic medicine can do to help your child with Down syndrome thrive!
